The Bridge Cam MG-8 meter is made of stainless steel and consists of a base plate with 3 scales, a slider with 1 scale and a movable index with a notch.

Method of measurement

The scale along the edge can be used to measure plate thickness in the range of 0 - 60 mm, just like a normal straight steel ruler.

The movable pointer is used to measure the height of the weld bead, the depth of the undercut, the measurement of the leg of the fillet weld, the convexity of the weld, the misalignment of the surfaces. The value indicated by a notch on a scale of 0 - 25 mm is the value of the measured parameter.

The slider is used to measure the concavity and convexity of the fillet weld. The value is indicated directly on the scale of the slider.

The sides of the movable pointer are used to measure the bevel angle. The left side is aligned with the edge, and the right side marks the angle value on a scale of 0 - 60°.
