The T4 measuring stand for the TKM-459 ultrasonic hardness tester is a specially designed device that guarantees the most comfortable work of the operator, minimizing the human factor. Significantly simplifies the hardness control of large batches of products and / or products with low weight and dimensions.

The measuring stand is designed to work with the TKM-459 hardness tester sensors: "A", "H", "C".

Stand T4 provides:

• stable force on the sensor,
• perpendicularity of the ultrasonic sensor to the investigated surface,
• high repeatability of measurement results,
• the ability to test samples of various shapes with a minimum weight.

The scope of delivery includes a magnetic test prism and a curved vise.

The magnetic prism is made of high-strength hardened steel and has an inward beveled top edge. Used to fix cylindrical parts.

Before starting the measurements, the sample must be placed in the center of the prism and the switch must be turned to the "ON" position. There will be a simultaneous magnetization of the sides of the prism - the sample will be "tightly" fixed.

Next, you need to install the prism with the sample at the point of penetration of the sensor indenter. Carry out the necessary measurements.

To release the part, turn the switch to the "OFF" position.

The vice is designed for reliable fixation of small parts in any position.

Manufactured from high quality alloy steel. The hardness of the working surfaces is 58-62 HRC. Vise Accuracy:

• parallelism 0.005 mm / 100 mm,
• perpendicularity 0.005 mm.

Operating procedure

1. Place the electronic block of the hardness tester in the holder.
2. Remove the standard protective cap (nose) from the ultrasonic sensor (types "A", "H" or "C").
3. Insert the sensor into the base plate and secure with a special attachment (included in the delivery set).
4. Place the controlled object on the base of the stand.
5. Using the adjusting device, it is necessary to set the distance from the measured surface to the sensor diamond at least 10 mm.
6. Slowly lower the handle of the stand until a sound signal will sound, which will mean that the measurement has been completed.
7. As soon as you hear a sound signal, you need to lift the handle up (in the absence of pressure, the handle itself returns to the upper position).
